Randi Thompson first discovered horses as a young girl where she rode bareback for years though the country sides of Minnesota. The horses in her life became her best friends and greatest teachers. It was the love of horses that inspired Randi on a journey that began with self discovery and personal growth.
As Randi grew into her professional horse career, her experience extended from pleasure riding to barrel racing, western pleasure, saddle seat, gaited horses (flat-shod Tennessee Walkers and Paso Fino’s), hunters/jumpers and dressage. Along the way, Randi developed her own ideas as well as working with, teaching, and judging with some of the top trainers in the horse world. In 1979 she trademarked “Horse and Rider Awareness™”. Now she is known as a trainer's trainer, teaching and inspiring riders, instructors and trainers of all breeds and styles of riding.
Randi has been in the horse industry for 35 years and has been teaching riding instructors, clinicians, trainers and riders easy, safe and fun techniques to connect them with their students or horses. Her Horse and Rider Awareness® techniques have been tested on 1000's of students and horses of all styles of riding and breeds of horse world. Randi has been featured in radio shows, horse publications, and more.
